Meet the Santa Ana Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Santa Ana
When a gate stops working in Santa Ana, the person who shows up matters as much as the parts on the truck. Adrian Vance started this company in 2014 after years on commercial access-control sites, and he built the Santa Ana crew the same way he wired those systems: carefully, with people who document what they did and why. Every technician here carries the same habit. They write the price down before the work starts, photograph every adjustment, and leave a record you can actually read. No mystery, no guesswork, just four people who know gates and respect the fact that your gate is the first line of defense for your property.
Our People
Miguel R. - Lead Technician, Gate Motors & Access Control
Miguel has been with Vance Gate Repair Santa Ana for seven years, longer than anyone except Adrian. He came from a commercial access-control background, which is why he’s the one we send when a gate motor is doing something strange and the homeowner has already tried rebooting the system twice. He services all nine brands we work on, but his deepest experience is with LiftMaster and DoorKing operators. Miguel keeps a small notebook in the truck with wiring notes from every job he’s touched since 2018. He says it’s faster than scrolling through photos, and he’s probably right. Outside of work, he restores old bicycles and has strong opinions about the best taco stands on Bristol Street.
Danielle K. - Senior Installer, Gate Fabrication & Welding
Danielle joined the team in 2019 after six years doing ornamental iron work around Orange County. She handles most of our custom gate installations and does the majority of our on-site welding, from cracked hinge plates to sagging picket welds. Danielle is the one who will tell you honestly if a gate is worth repairing or if the steel has thinned to the point where replacement is the smarter long-term call, and she’ll show you the measurements to prove it. She’s meticulous about photo documentation, partly because she knows it protects the customer and partly because she hates being blamed for something the last contractor did. On weekends she’s usually camping in the San Bernardino Mountains with her two dogs.
Sam T. - Service Coordinator, Dispatch & Scheduling
Sam is the voice on the phone when you call at 2 a.m. or 2 p.m. He’s been with us since 2021 and came from a property management background, which means he understands the pressure of a gate stuck open at a rental property or a parking lot entrance that won’t respond. Sam schedules every job, confirms the technician’s name and photo before arrival, and makes sure the written estimate gets prepared before the crew leaves the office. He’s the reason our dispatch runs without a voicemail loop at any hour. Sam is a native of Santa Ana and knows the neighborhoods well, so when you tell him your cross streets, he usually knows exactly which gate style you’re describing. He’s also the office’s unofficial coffee supplier and takes that responsibility seriously.
Leo M. - Apprentice Technician, Gate Repair & Parts
Leo is our apprentice, working alongside Miguel on repairs and learning the trade the way Adrian learned it: by watching, asking questions, and writing everything down. He’s been with Vance Gate Repair Santa Ana since 2023 and handles a lot of the parts runs, hinge replacements, and photo-eye alignments under supervision. Leo is the kind of person who takes the motor cover off and asks why the limit switch matters, which is exactly what we want in someone who will eventually be running his own service calls. He’s studying for his welding certification and practices on scrap steel in the shop after hours. Before this, he worked in his uncle’s machine shop in Anaheim, so he already treats every bolt like it has a job to do.
One Standard, Every Job

The rule that ties this crew together is simple: the customer gets the truth in writing. Before any work begins, you get a flat price on paper. After the work is done, you get a photo log showing what was found, what was adjusted, and what was replaced, along with the part numbers. That’s Haven Standard Clause 1 and Clause 4, and every technician here follows them whether the job is a $180 hinge repair or a full gate installation. The 365-Day Done Right Promise backs all of it for a full year. Adrian’s view is that a technician who documents their work is a technician who does the work right the first time, and the Santa Ana team proves it every day. No one on this crew cuts corners, because they know the photos will tell the story before they even leave the driveway.
